ABOUT US

My name is Lock Johnson. I currently live in Woodstock, Georgia while I complete my undergraduate degree before attending Veterinary school, and I've been around aquariums and ponds since I was born. For a great majority of my life I've kept freshwater fish and plant species from all over the globe as a hobbyist. Sadly, however, there are not as many aquatic biology enthusiasts as I would like in American society. It is uncommon for me to find others locally who share in my passion for aquatic plants and animals, and what you see here on this website is my attempt to change that. I aim to use the skills I've cultivated in aquarium design, animal care and plant care to bring the aquatic world into the homes of people who have yet to realize what they're missing out on, and to improve upon the experiences of those already invested in the hobby. When at full throttle, Beholder Aquatics will provide products and services ranging from aquarium installations, aquarium maintenance, koi pond cleaning, premium aquatic specimens like high quality goldfish and koi, freshwater shrimp, plecos, and more, while offering hobby-related merchandise and gifts featuring art from both myself and local artists. I want to show others how rewarding it can be to build and cultivate an ecological microcosm in their own place of living. There is much to be said for the fulfillment brought by creating a window into the natural world.
